Inquiring Minds Really DO Want to Know
An Uncommon Field Report
Part II

Part I - Part II
Phoenix: May 18, 2005
Dozens of 400' to 600' parallel strips are reported laid down in three fields of barley near Phoenix, Arizona in the suburb of Tolleson. Some people think the formations resemble ancient cuneiform script.
The same night, May 18th, in Scottsdale (a NE suburb of Phoenix), golden orbs and mist are photographed during an outdoor celebration, three of the people present would later play a key role in the Phoenix Crop Formation timeline; (example of timeline singularity): May 18, 1980, Mt. St. Helens Erupts).
Friday, May 27th, 2005, Tolleson Fields west of downtown Phoenix ~ Along with my good friend Stephanie Phelps, we began collecting crop samples from the three Tolleson crop formations, for W.C. Levengood of Pinelandia Biophysical Laboratory. We arrived early morning in the fields under a clear blue sky, with temps in the low 90’s and on the rise. We were met by the crew from Channel 3 news who had heard about the sampling and wanted to run a piece on the formations. It subsequently aired Tuesday night May 31. The news team left after the first half hour, and we continued with the sampling for the next two and a half hours. We noticed the sky becoming patterned with several aerial trails, and soon afterward the entire sky was hazy, with the added appearance of a "sun dog" encircling the sun in a rainbow of light.
We meticulously marked and wrapped each barley sample according to the protocol provided by W. C. Levengood. About two thirds of the way through the process, I began feeling poorly, and mentioned it to Stephanie. She suggested I sit down for awhile, and offered to finish up. As she collected the final samples, I found shade under a nearby grove of trees at the edge of the field, and snapped a few photos of the sky and surrounding area. I carefully framed each photo to include in the report. We continued to the third field a mile or so away, and finished the last few samples.
On the way home I felt exhausted, and within an hour, a terrible headache set in which continue for the next 24 hours. Stephanie later mentioned she'd felt exhausted too. We attributed our feeling lousy to the heat of the day, but only a week earlier we’d gone hiking in higher temps for a longer duration, and came home feeling fine. I now believe it was a combination of something energetic in, or around, the crop field, combined with the floating haze in the atmosphere.
As a dowser, I am exceedingly sensitive to all forms of energy, and can often judge an energy by the correspondence in my body. By the time we finished the sampling I just wanted to go home.
It was now Memorial Day weekend and I was ready to assemble the data for the lab. This included correlating all our field notes, detailed maps, and assembling photos of the sampled areas with the samples themselves. While organizing my photos I noticed one in particular that I'd snapped while escaping under the trees. It was something odd, and I termed the photo “weird thing” before tossing it aside. I had been very careful to properly frame all the photos and at the time I took the weird thing, it was not seen in the lens. When I shot the photo I had intended to catch something interesting in the lens, and framed the sky carefully between the leaves, then shot straight upward.

Two weeks later the image (above right) was brought to my attention. The two photos are connected via my work in Peru and England. The photo of the anomaly in Peruvian sky was shot between the leaves, October 1999, in Urubamba, Sacred Valley of the Incas, Peru and detailed in Part III of this series.
The next day at home I kept uttering the word “alfalfa,” when my brain wanted to say BARLEY. I finally asked Stephanie if I had referred to the crop as ‘alfalfa’ in the television interview, as it would have been embarrassing for the field researcher not to know she was sitting in BARLEY. We sent the samples to the lab, and waited for the results. I put the file away and felt I was essentially finished with the investigation. NOT! On Monday June 6th I received news that Dr. Levengood's preliminary analysis indicated some type of anomalous energy evident in the crop samples. The analysis supports the idea that there is more to the story then simply wind and irrigation damage.
A few days after the sampling I was on the web and noticed a new and unusual formation. Something in the image compelled me to take a closer look. The Milk Hill formation occurred around the same time as our crop sampling took place in Arizona. Subtle synchronicities began to emerge linking our work in Phoenix with the new formation in England.
The report at Crop Circle Connector originally referred to the Milk Hill formation as being "weird" and "appearing in wheat", when in fact it was BARLEY. It depicted an odd Y shape thought to denote the masculine principle. A few days later, another image appeared in the field next to it - the Vesica Pisces, denoting the feminine principle. The two together imply the androgyne -- the synthesis of the masculine and feminine.

Like Theseus in the labyrinth I followed the thread, almost immediately the image known as the "weird thing" plugged me directly into Nazca, and only then did I realize it had all happened before.

The Trilogy connects the synchronicities of the English crop circles directly with my work in Peru, and oddly, the phoenix played a role: timeline - five years ago TO DATE, May 18, 2000.
This was my "devil's tower" moment, the mashed potato scene in Spielberg's Close Encounters of the Third Kind. I kept seeing the weird thing until it literally manifested off the screen in the form of the Nazca spider, an image I knew well. Eureka! NAZCA. I have spent the better part of the last several years investigating Nazca, have flown over it many times and photographed anomalous phenomenon over the Pampa on more than one occasion.
Remember Speilberg's message?

Are you connecting the dots Klaatu?
Perhaps these meaningful coincidences are merely meant for my eyes? I would urge anyone interested in this enigma to watch for other formations over the next few weeks, whether they be deemed natural, man-made, or otherwise and be receptive for the occurance of odd synchronicities.
There is a great synthesis occurring in our collective conscious and Phoenix stands posed at the threshold, as do the circlemakers, as do we all.

Way of The Weird (Wyrd)
In ancient times the Norse concept of divine intervention was an unexplainable or sudden shift attributed to the gods, considered the hand of divine intervention. Today we use the word "weird" to denote something out of the ordinary, strange, or undesirable but in its original form, it referred to the Divine Presence, changing the course of one’s life in a manner beyond human comprehension.
