The Historical Chronicle of the Lord of Huanca

The Sanctuary of the Lord of Huanca (Seņor de Huanca), is located near Cusco on the majestic slopes of Pacha Tusan Mountain. A Quechua word meaning "the one that sustains the Earth," the site was founded in 1676 when natives built a small chapel and later erected a sanctuary to commemorate the appearance of Jesus (The "Lord of Huanca). Here exist two sources of water attributed with miraculously healing properties visited by thousands of pilgrims annually.
