A huge mysterious door-like structure in the Hayu Marca mountain region of Southern Peru near Lake Titicaca,an hour drive from the city of Puno, has long been revered by local indians as the "City of the Gods." Although no actual city has ever been discovered and recently homes have begun to be built near the site, about a mile inland from Lake Titicaca. The remote area is known as a Valley of the Spirits, or Stone Forest, made of strange rock formations that resemble animals, beings, buildings, dinosaurs, and artificial structures. The door or the "Puerta de Hayu Marca" (Gate of the Gods) has been, at some time in the distant past, carved out of a natural rock face and in all, measures exactly 23' in height and width, with a smaller alcove in the center at the base which measures in at just under 6' in height.

LEGENDS

The native indians of the region had a legend that spoke of "a gateway to the lands of the Gods", and in that legend, it was said that in times long past great heroes had gone to join their gods, and passed through the gate for a glorious new life of immortality, and on rare occasions those men returned for a short time with their gods to "inspect all the lands in the kingdom" through the gate.

Another legend tells of the time when the Spanish Conquistadors arrived in Peru and looted gold and precious stones from the Inca tribes. According to one legend presented in the book, Secret of the Andes by Brother Philip, (as channeled by author/contactee, George Hunt Williamson, "Road in the Sky" -- Markawasi), one Incan priest of the Temple of the Seven Rays named Amaru Meru (Lord Meru, Aramu Muru) fled from his temple with a sacred golden disk known as "the key of the gods of the seven rays", and hid in the mountains of Hayu Marca. He eventually came upon the doorway which was being watched by shamen priests. He showed them the key of the gods and a ritual was performed with the conclusion of a magical occurrence initiated by the golden disk which opened the portal, and according to the legend blue light did emanate from a tunnel inside. The priest Amaru Meru handed the golden disk to the shamen and then passed through the portal "never to be seen again". Archeologists have observed a small hand sized circular depression on the right hand side of the small entranceway, and have theorized that this is where a small disk could be placed and held by the rock.

According to some individuals who have lain their hands on the small door, a feeling of energy flowing has been commented on as well as strange experiences such as visions of stars, columns of fire, and the sounds of unusual rhythmic music. Others have said that they have perceived tunnels on the interior of the structure, although nobody as yet has found a gap that would illustrate the door opening. On the contrary the professional opinion is that there is no actual door, for the frame and the entranceway and the back of the alcove are all carved from the same rock.

It is interesting to note that the structure undeniably resembles the Gate of the Sun at Tiwanaku (Tiahuanaco) and five other archeological sites which link together a cross by imaginary straight lines crossing each other exactly at the point where the plateau and Lake Titicaca are located. Locals report glowing blue spheres and bright white and rainbow-colored objects sighted over the Lake. The aforementioned legend concludes with a prophecy that the door of the gods will one day open "many times bigger than it actually is" and allow the gods to return in their Sun Ships.

Peruvian prophecy states that all the Americas were once united by a common spiritual tradition and leader, and that they will be again. We were anciently united as Amaru-ca or Ameru-ca, Ameri-ca, meaning the “Land of the Serpent”, during a time when the serpent was the universal symbol of mystical wisdom and spiritual power. One legend states that North and South America were named after a culture bearer known historically as Aramu Muru or A maru (serpent/wisdom) the “Serpent (wisdom master) Meru,” with connections to the mythical Mount Meru, abode of the Demi-Gods.

Aramu Muru came from the ancient continent of Mu with many power objects, including the powerful Solar Disc that had previously hung in an important temple in his homeland. He also brought many sacred rites and symbols, like the chacana, the stair-stepped cross, that after being taken by missionaries to all the four directions served to unite the Americas into a homogenous spiritual culture. Legends state that Aramu Muru assisted many Native American tribes after they arrived in Peru during the time of the destructions of Mu (Lemuria) and the Old Red Land (Atlantis). He then united these tribes into a very advanced culture that proceeded to build many of the towering megalithic temples that still adorn the landscape of Peru today. Although most have forgotten these ancient connections, the spirit of Aramu Muru has never left, and continues to watch over all the Americas from The Illumination Temple located above and within Lake Titicaca. Moreover, the great Solar Disc of Mu is also said to still continue to exist and believed to be located within the realm of the sacred lake.

Since 1992, when the Pachacuti or “World Transformation” anciently prophesied by the Incas first commenced, Amaru Meru and the Illumination Temple have made their presence known. The Solar Disc has begun emanating powerful streams of spiritual light that will eventually unite the Americas.

The site can be visited with a day trip from Puno, about an hours drive by taxi. A small entrance fee of $2 US is charged by the local village responsible for the care of the site. Restrooms have been built nearby, along with an extension road from the highway.

Legend of the Golden Solar Disc of the Temple of Illumination

Peru is a land steeped in ancient prophecies and wisdom that is vital for our planet during these transitional times. Life in the Incan empire was measured by a thousand year cosmic cycle called an Inti, which means 'Sun'. This thousand year cycle was then divided into halves, each of which was referred to as a Pachakuti. The cosmovision of the Andean world is the conception of duality that is in permanent opposition, but complementary, like the principle of ying/yang that expresses this opposition between day/night, light/dark, man/woman, earth/sky, up/down. This same principle of duality applies to each Pachakuti. However, Pachakuti also is used to refer to the transitional time that divided each Pachakuti and this is characterized as a time of great changes.

During the five hundred years of the eighth Pachakuti, Pachacuteq, the greatest spiritual leader of the Incas, ruled. This was a time of light when the Inca Empire flourished and there was expansion and good fortune. The ninth Pachakuti, on the opposite side of the duality, brought with it the five hundred years of darkness when the Spanish invaders conquered the Inca and the Indian people lost their power. We are now entering the tenth Pachakuti, which the local people refer to as the returning of Pachkuteq, the returning of the Light. This is the time when the etheric crystal cities of the fourth dimension such as the lost golden city of Paititi and the eternal etheric city under Lake Titikaka will again be available to us.

There is a legend that says at the time Lemuria was sinking, one of the seven Great Masters of Lemuria (MU), Lord Aramu Meru (Aramu Muru), was given the mission to bring the sacred Golden Solar Disc from the Temple of Illumination to Lake Titikaka for safe keeping. During the time of the Incas, the Solar Disc was transferred to Cusco and placed in the Koricancha, the main temple of the Incas, where it stayed until the coming of the Spanish. At that time, it was returned to Lake Titikaka and placed in the Eternal Etheric City inside the Lake. In the legend of their origin, this is the place from Incas, Kapaq (Manqo Qhapaq) and Mama Ocllo, entered the Earth. The Solar Disc was used in the capacity of a cosmic computer that received light information directly from the Universal Mind Source, Viracocha, at the center of the galaxy. By entering the Temple of Illumination and opening themselves, the Lemurians, and later the Incas could access the sacred wisdom.

It is during this time, the Age of Pachakuti, that the sacred Solar Disc is to be re-activated accessing the cosmic wisdom.

Many of the world's spiritual leaders, as well as indigenous teachers, acknowledge that the energy of the planet shifted in 1987 from the masculine energies of Tibet to the feminine energies of Peru, and more particular, Lake Titicaca, Machu Picchu, and the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

This area is the acknowledged portal through which the new feminine energies are entering the Earth. It is power energy - energy of the Heart. We not only have an opportunity during this time to access the information from the sacred golden Solar Disc and to receive the cosmic energies of Love that are coming in, but many Planetary Light Workers are feeling called to participate in re-activating the Solar Disc.

The Solar Disc serves as the portal through which these new feminine energies radiate into the world. When we use our intention to re-active the Solar Disc we facilitate these energies coming in stronger. This is powerful work for Planetary Midwives.
